I. Finding & Expanding Keywords to Build a Precise Keyword List

Purpose: Collect relevant product keywords for comprehensive keyword embedding in Listings and ad campaigns.

Step 1: Collect 10-20 Competitor Products

  • Find 10-20 competitor products (including 1-3 new ones) from the BSR ranking page, core keyword search results, and new releases list.

  • Tool: SellerSprite Extension

Step 2: Reverse Lookup Competitors Traffic Keywords

  • Use Reverse Multiple ASINs to bulk search competitor traffic keywords (or Reverse ASIN for a single ASIN).

  • Use Keyword Explorer to find competitors’ core converting keywords.

  • Filter out keywords with monthly search volume <500. Remove low-relevance keywords based on related ASINs and top 10 product images in search results. Add remaining keywords to My Keyword List or export to Excel.

Step 3: Expand Keywords

  • Use Keyword Mining to expand related keywords, long-tail terms, and synonyms based on core keywords or validated keywords.

  • Filter out keywords with monthly search volume <500 and remove low-relevance keywords based on search results.

  • Use Reverse Multiple ASINs to extract core keywords and high-frequency phrases, then apply Phrase Match to generate long-tail keywords.

Principle: Filter keywords based on listing optimization and ad strategies using relevance, search traffic, and competition metrics.

  1. Keyword Filtering Criteria:
    • Relevance: Match between keyword search results and your product.Search Traffic (Exposure): ABA rank, search volume, trends.

    • Conversion Potential: Monthly purchase, purchase rate, AC.

    • Competition Metrics: SPR, product count, supply/demand ratio, top 10 product analysis, title density, ad competitors, click concentration, PPC bids.

  2. Keyword Categories: Scenario-based terms, functional terms, attribute terms, product nouns, high-frequency terms, core keywords.
